Help Clifford Help Kids is American YouthWork's annual fundraising event. It was started in 2001 by Clifford Antone, together with his sister Susan Antone and several of their civic minded friends to combine Clifford's passion for music and his devotion to helping kids in need. For the past 8 years, Help Clifford Help Kids has raised over $1,000,000 for American YouthWorks. This has enabled our students to receive the services and educational opportunities they need to succeed.
Each year the event features well known musical acts, delicious food from Austin's best restaurants, and an exciting silent and live auction. Past musical acts have included Marcia Ball, Ray Benson, Booker T. and the MG's, James Cotton, Del Castillo, Delbert McClinton, Monte Montgomery, Maceo Parker, Toni Price, Bob Schneider, Billy Joe Shaver, Vallejo, Jimmie Vaughan, and more.
